Fresh Italian - Aperol Spritz

Have you ever been in Italy?

Have you ever seen people sitting in cafes and drinking flashy orange soda like drink?

That's Aperol Spritz!

If it is too late for tea or coffee and too early for whiskey or vodka, but you need refreshing drink, so that's the Aperol Spritz time!! Yay!

If we try to explain it in a easy way: Aperol is an bitter  - sweet orange liqueur. For the longest way, Aperol is an Italian bitter aperative. And the name comes from French slang.  

In 1919 Barbieri brothers create the Aperol and in 2003 Campari Group buy the company.

Or Spritz Veneziano; it is come from Italy like the Aperol itself and it is wine based cocktail. Spritz was created in 1800 and we know that Aperol created in 1919, so that means Aperol Spritz made after that years. We don't have actual date but we know that Aperol Spritz invented in 1950s.

Recipe

Recipe is very easy and includes only 3 ingredients; Aperol, Prosecco and soda. 

There is only one rule: 1/3. :)

That means you take your glass, fill it with ice then pour 1/3 Aperol, 1/3 Prosecco(Champagne or White Wine) and 1/3 soda. And add one slice orange. 

Some cocktail bars add fresh fruits in the cocktail, if you like fruits you can add it!

If you are coming back from Italy, you can buy ready Aperol Spritz kit include Aperol and Prosecco. 

It is not so much alcoholic and very refreshing, you can do it in your home without sweating.
