Beer Tour in Amsterdam

Hello, again me!

At the end of March 2019, me and my dear husband fly to the Frankfurt then to Amsterdam, like a complete whitecollar.

First of all, thank you very much for our amazing host Alp. 

When we are looking 

One day before our return, we found Arendsnest in Amsterdam thanks to an internet blog while looking for a nice place to drink beer. With 52 types of draft beer, it offers a variety that we Turkish are not used to. While sipping our beers, a presentation on the table caught our attention.

It says "More Beer Tour". Of course, we examined it, you simply go to the 4 bars in the More Beer Tour in a day, drink at least one beer and then get your shirt by showing your bill at the last bar. In doing so, you actually go on a small tour of Amsterdam.

Our first station is and the first bar of the tour. There are 52 draft beers here, mostly local beers. Beer is available in every taste you want. It's not stuffy but crowded. The waiters are very concerned.

This is the second stop of the tour, in fact, when you complete the tour, you also have a little tour of Amsterdam, so the bars are always within walking distance and they are all located in different locations of Amsterdam.

The peculiarity of this place is that it is 30-odd draft beer, but unlike the previous stop, the beers here are American beers.

The last stop was Craft & Draft, which is only walking distance from our hotel, if you say why I mentioned this, there is a continuation of the story: D

A little tip for you, do not buy Amsterdam's famous weed cake, or if you buy it while walking, go to your hotel to eat at your hotel, or you may have to get up before you even finish the beer at the last stop of the beer tour like us: D

But let me point out that we got our t-shirts!

As a result, if you are in Amsterdam and want to do something different, this tour might be a good alternative, we are drinking 4 beers in total while we are traveling all day, it was also nice to drink in different bars

Beer Temple Bira Listesi

We are surprised to see the different types of beer so when you go to Turkey, unfortunately, I lived in America most of this wonder. For some reason, it was not in my mind that there would be so much craft beer. The Netherlands sounded more acceptable, I think because we know Heineken and Amstel.

By the way, I usually drink Lager, Pilsner, but IPAs and Porters are also welcome.

Foods Inspired by Movies

I will make the famous movie dishes and give you the recipes. 

Very first movie is Lady and the Tramp

This is my favorite all time movie and it is a classic, watched more than 5 times. 

If you remember that movie,you can remember the iconic scene with spaghetti with meatball!

Our movie is produced by Walt Disney and it was our guest on 1997. 

Lady is a very sweet a female dog and she is the favorite of her owner, is she? Yes, untill the baby comes. After that moment, Lady feel alone and excluded. At the same time, home mishaps occured and owners blaming her. Unfortunately our girl run away... But this is not an end, it is only beginning. In streets, Lady met the Tramp and we will watch their relationship.

In 2019 we watched a remake with real dogs.

Here the dish;

Spaghetti with Meatball

We nee to make our meatball at first. You can use any meatball recipe. I made it with 250 g. ground beef, 1 teaspoon cumin, salt, thyme, 2 eggs and stale bread. After tat, we have to knead well. If you feel the meatballs ready, we have to make them small balls. 

We put a vegetable oil in our pan and heat up, then add our meatballs. When the meatballs done, we can seperate them in a plate. Then add the minced garlic and onions, fry them and add the tomato souce. Whem the sauce boiled, add the meatballs again. 

In another pot prepare the spaghetti. If your souce is too solid, you can add pasta water. After all that steps, add our spaghetti into the saouce and boil it  5- 6 minutes. Add cheese, mint and basil for plating.
